COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROTOCOLS

REVISED EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2022

RCP continues to follow the recommendations and guidelines as disseminated through Fairfax County, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as it pertains and applies to our organization, also aligning with the local theater community and industry. Recognizing that Covid-19
continues to be a fluid situation, our policies and protocols can and will be updated at any time based on county and/or federal guideline change, community surge, or outbreak within the organization.

Given the ongoing concerns with COVID-19, it is our duty to protect our patrons as well as our amazing team of volunteers. To protect the health and safety of our volunteers, RCP requires proof of vaccination, health self-checks, and mask-wearing for all of our volunteers and participants while indoors at our rehearsal hall and scene shop.

As our performance venue, CenterStage at Reston Community Center, is a Fairfax County facility, their COVID-19 policy is mandated by the Fairfax County Health Department. Although Fairfax County recommends, but does not require, masks to be worn inside their facilities, RCP does require that all ticketed patrons wear a mask inside the theater, aligning with the current standards and best practices for the performing arts industry. Everyone entering RCC buildings should complete a health self-check.  We remind our patrons while attending RCP productions, please remain socially distanced while approaching the theater doors and allow extra time to be seated.

These policies are similar to policies of other performing arts groups in the local region, and we strive to maintain the current recommendations as they change. We will notify you of any policy updates or changes as they occur to ensure your ongoing safety. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and ongoing support of live theater.

We look forward to seeing you at our next performance!
